Many web page designers providing web sites to real estate agents base their whole web site concept around "Free Reports" - information that is delivered to the visitor only after filling in a form. The idea behind this is that the reports must be requested by the visitors to your web site so you can "capture" the visitors email addresses. We, and others, have tried offering Free Reports at various times over the past five years and had no response whatsoever! Why? Any visitor that arrives via a search engine or directory to a real estate agent's web site and is looking for information can freely obtain elsewhere the information that is usually offered as "Free Report" and has to be requested. So that is what they do - visitors will simply go to another agent's web site where it is easier to obtain the information that interests them. Realtors who report they do have some success with "Free Reports" have explained why most have no success with them. One does not offer Free Reports on a web site with the intent of attracting potential internet clients - that does not work. What does work is advertising the specific Free Report in conventional media - like the local newspaper - and giving the web site address as the place to obtain the report. Without the conventional advertising few, if any, ever request Free Reports. The idea is to market the reports to get people to your site, not the other way around. Several members of our program have also tried offering various third party commercially available Free Reports and Lead Generating Systems on their web sites and have had no response either - because they too have to be advertised conventionally in order to work. Our system is designed to work with prospects searching for real estate on the internet search engines and directories - in order to enjoy any leads from "Free Reports" you would have to be prepared to spend money advertising the specific reports in your local media to attract the prospects that are not usually actively searching the internet and are interested in the information the reports offer. We can set up a system for you to offer your own "Free Reports" if you plan on marketing the reports in your local media. If you do not plan on marketing the reports we advise you to not offer them on your site as they may actually cause you to lose business rather than gain business - as internet-wise prospects will leave your site before ever filling in your Home Search forms - which are the real "bread and butter" of good web site for Realtors!
